Cullercoats won for the third consecutive game on a wet night against local rivals seaton delavel. Josh Irwin scored his first league goal for the club midway through the first half when he used his pace to latch onto a loose ball and lob the keeper from outside the box. Steven Taylor scored a controversial second goal as the Deleval keeper lay injured following a collision, Taylor played to the whistle and dispatched the ball into the open net. Another fine penalty from the dependable Aaron Dixon made it 3-0 before half time as Cullercoats were looking comfortable. Luke Monaghan made it 4-0 early in the second half before Lewis Williamson hit a post and Joe Logan and Louis Ross were denied by some last ditch deleval defending. Delavel finished the stronger side as Cullercoats Skipper Oliver Young was withdrawn big holes then appeared in the home sides defence and the visitors made for a grandstand finish with a couple of late goals and also forced a world class save from Tony Blacklock late in the game.
