Cullercoats 4 - Prudhoe Yellows 1

The under 11s produced a professional display to see of the threat of the struggling Prudhoe Yellows.   Josh Irwin opened the scoring after 10 minutes when he made use of his pace down the left and cut inside the full back then toe poked an unorthodox finish into the top corner.  Luke Monaghan more or less made the game safe with his 14th and 15th goals of the season as the Under 11s went in at half time 3-0 ahead.   Cullercoats took their foot off the gas in the second half as they took the opportunity to try some players out of position and give valuable experience to the likes of Ryan Oconnor and Ethan Dickinson up front.  An excellent cross from the left foot of Joe Logan found Aaron Dixons head as Cullercoats finally put the result beyond doubt to lead 4-0 before Monaghan woefully blazed a penalty over the bar.  Jack Ashworth had taken over from Tony Blacklock in the cullercoats goal and gave an assured display despite a Late consolation goal for Prudhoe.
