A great desire from the kick off to attack longbenton in search of a goal. Some great passing in the midfield between Jack Stronach, Mathew Sharp and Kieron Smith trying to feed lone striker James Branning which resulted in alot of corners but due to the muddy goalmouth it was always going to be difficult to score. Cullercoats were awarded a penalty for a hand ball which was tucked away by birthday boy James Branning. Longbenton equilised not long after and the half finished 1-1. Second half started in the same fashion as the first with cullercoats asking all of the questions. With some fresh legs on it was only a matter of time before the lead was restored via Ben Hall who grabbed two goals to make it 3-1. Jack Stronach scored a fourth from an accute angle. Some brave goalkeeping by Scott Mckie kept the score in cullercoats favour. Mathew Sharp pushed up from defense to add another goal making it 5-1. Cullercoats kept pushing for more goals with Kieron Smith pulling the strings in midfield picking out some great passes and through balls. The game finished 5-1 and it was a great team effort with some great football played Kieron Smith was awarded man of the match. The coaches went home very happy and proud well done lads,
Chris.
