Junior Results Round Up - 23/24 March
Performance of the Day went to the U11 Whites who moved off the bottom of the league with a fantastic win against Promotion chasing Newcastle East End. Matty struck the opener before East End levelled matters right on halt time. Olly put Cullercoats back ahead before the visitors hit back with two good finishes to lead 3-2. That man Olly again stole the show with two excellent late strikes to complete his hattrick and break the hearts of the East End lads
Elsewhere the U13 got revenge on KYPC for last seasons cup final defeat by notching an incredible 7-0 victory despite only having 11 available players, Dan opened the scoring before great strikes from Jack and Charlie put the lads ahead at Half time. Aidan took over the show in the second half notching a hat-trick before Dan struck again. The U15s put in another great performance but couldn't break down a resolute Willington Quay/Howdon as they slipped to a narrow 2-0 defeat that leaves them searching for their first point of the season, whilst the U17s (4-2) and U18s (4-0) both chalked up an excellent 3 points

JUNIOR RESULTS ROUND UP 2/3 MARCH
Performance of the day can be credited to the U12s who still find themselves bottom of the newly revamped premier league.
Taking on the High flying Hexham greens the U12s led for much of the match thanks to yet another goal from Will. Hexham showed why they are top of the league however with a great fightback late in the game when they took advantage of some tired cullercoats legs and snatched two goals in the final 10 minutes to run out winners 2-1.
It was a similar story for the U15s who fell to a 1-0 defeat against a well organised Kingston Park team, the goal also coming late in the day as Cullercoats missed several chances to steal the points.
The U11s had better luck in another close encounter as they edged out Tynemouth with an early goal at Links Avenue and held onto their advantage to win 1-0 in a well disciplined performance.
The U13s travelled to Prudhoe and recorded an emphatic 8-2 win with some excellent finishing, the goals coming from Oliver and Dan in the first half before prudhoe pulled a goal back. Alex and Luke then put Cullercoats in control before Prudhoe again hit back at 4-2. The U13s then went into overdrive and killed off the home team when Oliver forced in another corner and Aidan struck a sweet finish. Top scorer AAron then got in on the act with two excellent strikes in the last 10 minutes.

Both teams continue on from the 1st half and most of the action takes place in the midfield.
Both Cullercoats and Kingston Park have few chances but nothing to trouble either keeper.
I don’t believe it 10 mins from the end and a shot catches the foot of a defender and slides past the outstretched hand of Cullercoats keeper.
Goal 0-1... Goal scored around the same time as the one conceded at the away match.
But rather than heads going down, Cullercoats start to press and make a few runs splitting the defence, but the finishes are not there.
Cullercoats press again and a ball is put out for a corner. The ball is floated in and looks goal bound, but just catches side netting.

WEEKLY JUNIOR RESULTS ROUND UP
The weekend results didn't quite go according to plan for the Junior sides despite some great games and hard fought performances.
The U10s were suffering an injury crisis as they went down to a 6-3 defeat against New Fordley, with only 7 fit players and no substitutes the lads had the better of the first half, taking the lead with Brandon scoring the first of his two goals before New Fordley hit back to level just before half time. Cullercoats then seemed to run out of steam second half despite another great strike from Brandon and one from Kaidan they couldn't quite hold off the second half pressure applied by New Fordley.
The U12s had a daunting trip away to league leaders Hazerigg and can be very proud of their display despite an unfortunate 4-1 defeat. The lads dominated play but couldn't finish their chances with their only goal coming from the left foot of Will, Hazelrigg showed why they are top of the league with four clinical finishes against the run of play.
The U13s also had a difficult away game and were looking to try and spoil the 100% record of Ponteland Magpies, unfortunately Cullercoats couldn't get going early on and found themselves 5-0 down after 20 mins. The introduction of Reece seemed to shore up the defence while another super sub Alex came on upfront and banged in two great strikes before David smashed in a header to get the comeback on track at 5-3, Unfortunately, Ponteland showed their killer instinct and added another soon after to wrap up another 3 points as they look likely to win the league once again.
The U15s also came up short against Kingston Park in a narrow 1-0 defeat with the goal coming after 35 minutes. Cullercoats then laid siege to the Kingston Park goal but just couldn't find that much deserved equaliser on the day.

WEEKLY RESULTS ROUND UP
A goal in each half from Dan Morton helped the U13s record a 2-0 win over Ponteland Predators. Dans first effort had an element of fortune as he took advantage of the Ponteland keeper misjudging a hopeful ball from Oliver young before forcing the ball in. His 2nd strike came late in the second half after he took advantage of a rebound which had struck Charlie Barbrook in a tender area and fell to Dan who made no mistake. Cullercoats Defending today was superb with David and Oliver solid at centre back while Lewis and Joe shut out any attacks from the lively ponteland wingers which meant Tony was rarely troubled. Man of the match was Steven Turner
Elsewhere the U12s suffered travel sickness with a long trip to Hexham resulting in a 6-0 defeat despite the lads efforts to contain the High flying home Team.
The U15s were also defeated in a 7-3 thriller up at Prudhoe and are still searching for their first win of the season which surely must be just around the corner .
Meanwhile the U16s recorded a good 3-0 vicory on a soggy Links ave pitch against Local rivals Whitley Bay to remain clear at the top of division 4.

The under 13s produced a fantastic performance to prevent Hexham returning to the top of the league.
The Home side scored first against the run of play with a quick counter attack and led 1-0 at the break.
Cullercoats had more possession 2nd half but struggled to convert their chances before Ben Morris Struck with just 20 mins left, this seemed to deflate Hexham and another great finish from Ben put the visitors ahead before Steven Turner added a 3rd minutes later.
Cullercoats then switched off and allowed Hexham to pull a goal back with 10 mins left to set up a nervy finish.
The lads managed to hold on despite pressure from the home side and recorded an excellent 3 points
